Plot 12
From Muse to Maker
Hyeryeon Rha, Gyeongseo Cho
“Plot 12" is a cultural curation project by Vogue that reimagines the world-renowned fashion event, the Met Gala, originally held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, through the lens of creators rather than celebrities. Moving away from the traditional focus on muses and public figures, this project highlights the makers positioning them as today’s pioneers who open new cultural dialogues through their craft.
By connecting the Met Gala’s global influence with the local context of Red Hook, the project transforms fashion into a platform for cultural experimentation and community revitalization.
Economically, it seeks to invigorate local businesses and creative networks, while culturally, it bridges Red Hook’s history of craftsmanship with the creative spirit of fashion through the keyword “Pioneer.”
